RTA ONLINE study sessions include:
- RTA rules from which non-profit housing providers are exempt,
- rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants,
- what needs to be in your tenancy agreement,
- what documentation is important to keep in your tenant files,
- how to resolve tenant issues without proceeding to eviction,
- how to properly complete and serve notices of termination,
- how to file an application and prepare for a hearing at the LTB,
- what to do if a tenant files an application against you, and
- how to enforce a Board Order.
If you choose to take the final exam, you can use your Certificate of Achievement as a half-credit towards your IHM certificate.
RTA ONLINE includes:
- access to the web-based course and moderator for a period of 4 months,
- discussion forum with other students,
- scheduled live chats with an RTA expert,
- reference binder with course instructions, sample forms and a copy of the current legislation.
The cost for both members and non-members is $400 + GST = $420.

WHMIS Online NEW!
ONPHA has partnered with Workplace Safety Group to offer an online training course for your staff who work with hazardous materials. All employers in Canada are required, by law, to provide WHMIS training to workers who work with, or in proximity to, controlled products, including cleaning products and gasoline. By law, training must be provided to all new employees and when new products are used. This training has to be renewed annually. For more information about the WHMIS program, please click here.
Earn a certificate of successful course completion when you pass the on-line test.

This online course will earn you a Certificate in RGI Administration under the Social Housing Reform Act.
RGI ONLINE is the most comprehensive course yet produced on this topic. Course content is updated to reflect regulations in force at the launch date. We estimate that it will take 16 hours to complete. Study units include:
- how to assess and verify RGI eligibility,
- what to do when a resident ceases to qualify,
- how to maintain special needs waiting lists,
